Syrian rebels ask US to deploy Patriot missiles in the country

The Syrian rebels have asked the United States to defend rebel-held areas with Patriot missiles, NBC News cites an opposition leader as saying on Tuesday.

NATO has already deployed Patriot missile batteries in Turkey in order to defend the country from potential airstrikes by the Assad regime.
