Israeli apologies to Turkey show leaders are influential says US ambassador

US ambassador to Turkey Francis Riccardone met today with Turkish minister of the economy Zafer Çağlayan and representatives of American companies operating in the country.

The ambassador touched upon the Israeli apologies to Turkey over the flotilla raid and said the fact shows how influential both leaders (Netanyahu and Erdoğan) are.

The ambassador also said that normalization of Turkish-Israeli relations will lead to enhanced economic cooperation between the two countries.
