Muhammad Haji Rakhimov, Mufti of the Stavropol Territory and head of the Russian Association of Islamic Consent, said at a round-table conference on socio-cultural integration of migrants at the North Caucasian Federal University that there was no religious prejudice towards migrants, but they should speak the Russian language.
He noted that migrants could not even fill a migration form. The local directorate of the Russian Federal Migration Service and the regional Muslim Administration signed an agreement to help socio-cultural adaption of migrants.
The Pyatigorsk mosque will teach Russian as a foreign language, history and cultural traditions of the Stavropol Territory. At least 30 migrants get aid at every meeting with staff of the Federal Migration Service.
Metropolitan of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk Kirill chairing the talks emphasized that harmonic development of regions was impossible without inter-ethnic or inter-religious peace.
Officials of traditional religions, state and municipal services, teachers, leaders of communities attended the talks. Maksim Parshin, head of the service for religious relations of the Moscow Patriarchy, responsible for realization of the system of socio-cultural integration of labour migrants was a guest at the meeting.
