Russia prepares for the upcoming round of negotiations in Geneva


On Saturday the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Grigory Karasin, has discussed with the EU Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Pierre Morelle, several issues concerning the upcoming round of Geneva negotiations on security and stabilization in Transcaucasia and the current situation in Kirgizia, reports Interfax.
During the negotiations it is planned to discuss the current situation on the Abkhaz-Georgian and South Ossetian-Georgian borders, ways of preventing incidents in border zones and ways of reacting to it. The main goal of the negotiations is to create legally binding agreements on non-use of force. The Russian side will continue working on this.
