The leader of the Labour Party Shalva Natelashvili at a briefing in
Tbilisi, said that he decided to run for president. He is the first
candidate that announced the decision.
"I can now have an opposition to fraternize party of President Mikheil
Saakashvili and Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. People more
clearly see that the new government did not meet their expectations,"
-he said, noting that he had decided to run for president because he
intends to bring people justice, Georgia onlinequoted him as saying .
Presidential elections in Georgia must be held in October 2013.
