Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr says on Sunday he believes that Iran should participate in the process of search for diplomatic solution of the ongoing conflict in Syria.
The Egyptian top diplomat met on Sunday with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is currently on a short visit to Cairo.
About 70,000 people have died in Syria since the start of the uprising against President Assad in March 2011, according to UN figures.
