Major-General Constantine Smeshko, head of the Engineers’ Forces of the Southern Military District of Russia, said that mines in Chechnya and Ingushetia will be removed in late 2015, Russia 24 reports.
The official noted that the plan for mine-sweeping about 1300 hectares was over-fulfilled by 15%. 1500 hectares more need sweeping.
