Alan Eyre, spokesman of the US State Department, said that direct negotiations with Iran could only be held on certain conditions.
US President Barack Obama had expressed readiness for talks with Iran within the framework of the 5+1 forma, Eyre noted. He added that the US was attentive to speeches of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Eyre emphasized that the US was not intending to violate independence and sovereignty of Iran.
