Russian Airborne Forces will participate in the military drills planned in the Krasnodar Territory on April 4-5, bratishka.ru Alexander Kucherenko, spokesman of the Airborne Forces of the Defense Ministry.
The first day of drills will focus on the scenario of assaulting an airport and neutralizing enemies. Airborne troops will be deployed via helicopters. “Azov”, a marine of the Black Sea Fleet, will deploy troops.
Artillery of the Ivanovsky Airborne Group and special groups of the Airborne Forces will take part in the drills. Up to five warships, three Il-76s, over ten Su-25s, Mi-26s, Mi-24s and Mi-8s will participate.
Lieutenant-General Nikolai Ignatov, Deputy Commander of the Airborne Forces, commands the drills.
