US to remain neutral in Azerbaijan’s choice of gas route

US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar said at the World Economic Forum in Azerbaijan that the US will be neutral in selection of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) running through Greece and Albania to Italy or Nabucco West running from Turkey to Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Austria.

The ambassador said that existing disputes were a matter of commercial and geopolitical problems. He expressed hope that Turkmen gas will be transported as well and Turkmenistan will become part of the Southern Corridor.
