Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has received a letter from 100 authoritative Russian Jews urging him to resist foreign pressure in the Palestinian issue. The letter is similar to the one written by 100 US Jews urging Netanyahu to make no territorial concessions.
The letter initiated by the Russian Jewish Congress states that the US is trying to persuade Israel the way communists were using Jews to affect Israel during the rule of the USSR.
US State Secretary John Kerry will visit Israel and help President Barack Obama gain concessions of Israel. It was signed by President of the Russian Jewish Congress Yuri Kanner, co-owner of Alpha Group Mikhail Fridman, head of the Federation of Russian Jewish Communities Alexander Boroda, Moscow Chief Rabbi and President of the European Rabbi Congference Pinchas Goldsmidt, poet Vladimir Vishnevsky, Russian People's Artist Tamara Gvertsiteli, dozens of notable figures of science, culture and business.
