Nine people were injured on Sunday during a fight at a children's camp - “Don” - in the Tupsinsky region of the Krasnodar territory, reports RIA Novosti, citing police officials.
The police says there was a “common conflict”, while the Chechen ombudsman Nurdi Nuhajiev claims Chechen children were beaten. He says that the locals beat them during the night and seven children were admitted to hospital.
“A commission will investigate the incident and organize the return of the children”, he says. Police spokesman Igor Zhelyabin claims that Chechen teenagers initiated the fight after a quarrel with the campus chief.
