Turkey does not believe in sincerity of Iraq’s peace initiatives

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu believes that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s initiative to improve ties with Turkey last week is unconvincing, TRT Haber reports.

Maliki used to be criticizing Turkey and calling it an enemy of all states of the region. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told al-Maliki to settle interior affairs before accusing other states of hostility.
