Georgian receives political asylum in Switzerland

The immigration service of Switzerland has granted political asylum to the head of the Georgian "Reporter" studio, Vahtang Komahidze, Interfax reports, citing the head of the non-governmental organization "Ex-political prisoners - for human rights" Nana Kakabadze.
Komahidze left Georgia this February and applied for the status of political refugee. He sent a latter to the Georgian media saying his family had been threatened after he received damaging information about the Georgian authorities from the South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity and was planning to make a documentary program on the theme.
