Armenian Foreign minister Edward Nalabandian met Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thornbjorn Jagland who had arrived in Armenia yesterday.
The sides discussed priority issues Armenia plans to focus on during chairmanship at the CE Committee of Ministers. Armenia will put efforts into strengthening inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue, combating discrimination and intolerance, development of education and youth policy. Mayors of CE capitals will have meetings. Armenian president will visit Strasburg.
Nalbandian and Jagland signed a memorandum to open a CE office in Yerevan.
