The deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, Magomedsalam Magomedov, at a meeting of the President's Council on International Relations today said, referring to the approved strategy of national policy, that the objective is "to make sure that the strategy of national policy is implemented and does not just remain on paper."
He explained that work on the harmonization of interethnic relations will also be conducted through non-profit organizations.
"Already, after the results of the February meeting of our Council, the President issued a decree providing grant support to NGOs ... We are working very carefully so that the grants will go to the most worthy projects," the deputy head of the presidential administration was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying.
According to Magomedov, a broad discussion about the idea of creating a single textbook on the history of Russia shows the relevance of this issue.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to the Ministry of Education and Science to create a unified Russian history textbook by November 1, 2013.
