Chechen leader accuses Ingush authorities of reluctance to fight terrorism

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, is accusing the Ingush authorities of being reluctant to fight terrorism. According to Kadyrov, militants feel that they are safe in Ingushetia.

Kadyrop also made a harsh retort concerning Ingush leader Yunus-bek Yevkurov.

"If Yevkurov says that he will not allow us to conduct operations against militants on his territory, then one can ask him why he does not fight terrorist himself," Kadyrov is quoted as saying.

The Chechen leader also said that in Chechnya the militant movement is suppressed and militant groups are based in Ingushetia.
