Karachay-Cherkessia is considering the opportunity of constructing approximately 10 multi-functional sport complexes at a cost of 50-75 million rubles each, Interfax reports.
The chairman of the state committee of Karachay-Cherkessia for physical fitness, sport and tourism, Khasan Kurachinov, said that the construction is planned within the federal program aimed at developing physical fitness and sport in Russia.
He noted that the program involves co-financing the construction of facilities, with 95% coming from the federal budget and 5% from the budget of Karachay-Cherkessia.
Project developers from Moscow were invited for realization of the program. The local authorities are currently working on providing land, geodesic issues and starting work on the estimated price documents.
