Turkey urges other states to appoint ambassadors to Palestine

Turkish President Abdullah Gul has appointed Akir Oskan Torunlar as the Ambassador to Palestine and urged other states to do the same, due to Palestine’s status of a UN observer.

Gul held negotiations with President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas in Turkey on April 20. They discussed the Middle East, peace processes and expansion of bilateral relations.
