Russian passenger airliner allegedly fired at in skies over Syria
Two missiles were fired in the direction of a Russian passenger airplane by unknown persons when the plane was in the sky over Syria, an informed source in Moscow says. "The Syrian side reported to us that on Monday morning, unknown persons fired two "ground-to-air" mossoles, which exploded in the sky in the vicinity of a civilian aircraft owned by a Russian airline," Interfax reports a source as saying. According to the source, "the crew managed to move the plane to the side just in time and save passengers' lives. Presumably the fire was directed deliberately at the plane, but there is no information as to whether the shooters knew that it was Russian," the source said.Interfax does not have any official confirmation yet.
