An explosive device went off on Wednesday in Makhachkala in the path of a police vehicle, badly injuring a police officer, RIA Novosti reports, citing a spokesman in the Dagestani Interior Ministry.
The device went off at approximately 17:00 Moscow time on Akushinskoye Avenue. The source added that there is information that the injured policeman is the deputy of the head of the district interior department of Kirovskoye.
