Turks march to Syrian refugee camp protesting against border clashes

Some 500 Turks holding national flags and chanting slogans marched toward the Süleymanşah refugee camp in order to protest against clashes between Syrians and Turkish border police in the frontier district of Akçakale, Hürriyet Daily News cites Doğan News Agency as saying.

Turkish police intervened and the protesters were peacefully dispersed, Hürriyet informs.

A group of Syrian refugees clashed with Turkish security forces earlier yesterday after they were prevented from crossing the Turkish border. A Turkish police officer was killed, two other policemen, five soldiers and four civilians were wounded, the news agency reports on Friday.
