Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova arrived in Azerbaijan on Wednesday, Trend reports, citing the official website of the organization.
Bulgarian ambassador to France and the constant Bulgarian representative in UNESCO Irina Bokova was elected as the new head of UNESCO on September 22nd, 2009 in the 5th round of voting of the Executive Council of UNESCO.
Bokova is the first woman to head the organization.
