Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Endüstrileri (TAI), a Turkish aerospace company, has launched production of Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter production, monitored by the Defense Industry Secretariat of the Turkish Defense Ministry, Trend reports.
Black Hawk was under development in Turkey since 2011. About $3.5 billion will be spent on their production. The helicopter has seats for two crew members and up to 17 passengers or 11 armed soldiers. It can fly up to 463km at a speed of 361km/h.
