The Ingush parliament gave 23 out of 24 votes for parliamentary election of the republic’s leader, according to the bill considered in the second and third reading.
Ingushetia has become the second republic after Dagestan where the parliament will elect its leader, rather than the population. Delegates of Ingush public recommended the parliamentary vote on April 20.
