Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Surkov has decided to resign, the Kremlin's press service announced on Wednesday, RIA Novosti informs.
“The president has accepted Surkov’s resignation,” the Russian president's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
Peskov added that Surkov, long known as the major Kremlin's ideologue, submitted his resignation on Tuesday after President Vladimir Putin’s meeting with the government, at which Putin vehemently criticized the members of the cabinet, RIA Novosti reports.
