Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov has commented on resignation of his sworn brother Vladislav Surkov, stating that Russian President Vladimir Putin was following national interests when accepting the resignation, RIA Novosti reports.
He added that Surkov had been supporting Chechen President Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov in the hardest and and most tragic times. Kadyrov said that he had invited Surkov to visit Chechnya.
Surkov's father is a Chechen and Surkov himself spent first five years of his life in Chechnya.
