Turkish President Abdullah Gul will visit Azerbaijan in the near future, the Turkish Minister of Foreign Trade Zafer Chaglayan said at the opening of Azerbaijani-Turkish business-forum today, Trend reports.
The Turkish minister, together with a large delegation of businessmen, arrived in Baku on Wednesday.Earlier Chaglayan had met Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and discussed economic ties between Ankara and Baku.
Aliyev said the economic ties between the two countries are good and can be further developed. Azerbaijan and Turkey are successfully cooperating in large regional economic projects, including the oil pipeline Baku-tbilisi-Jaykhan, the gas pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad.
