Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu is going to meet with the families of victims of the neo-Nazi Nationalist Socialist Underground group during his visit to Germany this weekend, Hürriyet Daily News cites the Turkish Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement.
“The minister will have contacts with the families of the victims of the National Socialist Underground (NSU) and will meet representatives of Turkish nongovernmental organizations and Turkish citizens in Germany,” the news agency cites the statement as saying.
The NSU group is suspected of involvement in the killings of 10 people (8 of them were Turks) between 2000 and 2007. The trial against the group’s survivor member, Beate Zschaepe, was set to set start last week but has been postponed until May 14.
