Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan sign cooperation agreements

Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan signed several cooperation agreements during the talks between the presidents of two countries held in Astana on Friday, Trend cites the Kazakh presidential press service as saying.

The parties signed the protocol and the programme of cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the agreement between Kazakh and Turkmen national academies of sciences and the memorandum of cooperation between the Kazakh and Turkmen railways.

The two presidents agreed to hold the days of Kazakh Culture in Turkmenistan and the days of Turkmen culture in Kazakhstan.

Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also agreed to open the Turkmen consulate in the Kazakh city of Aktau and the Kazakh consulate in the Turkmen city of Turkmenbashi, Trend cites Kazinform.
