Over ten Ingush donkeys have helped sappers of the Southern Military District clear 250 hectares of 650 mines in Chechnya and Ingushetia since April 1.
The donkeys were used to transport equipment.
The Groznensky, Achkhoy-Martanovsky and Kurchalovsky Districts of Chechnya and the Sunzhensky and Jeyrakhsky Districts of Ingushetia are still being cleared of mines. About 500 people and over 30 units of equipment are used for the operation.
