The international conference on Syria planned for late May was postponed until June, RIA Novosti cites spokeswoman of the US State Department Jennifer Psaki.
The conference should gather together the Syrian government and opposition to start a dialogue. The US and Russia are persuading them to start talks.
Psaki reminded that the US wanted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to resign. Syrian people will talk with people whose hands were covered in blood, he adds.
