Six female and nine male militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) left the Hakkari Province of Turkey a week ago and has arrived in North Iraq.
PKK withdrawal from Turkey started on May 8.
PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan urged the organization to leave Turkey. All militants giving up voluntarily will be given a chance to leave.
The war of Turkey and the PKK, an organization recognized as terrorist by the UN and EU, has resulted in over 40,000 people dead in over 25 years.
