The delegation of the monitoring committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) arrived in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi today, as did the special rapporteurs for Russian-Georgian relations.
The delegation has already visited Moscow and met with Russian officials, it was noted by Andreas Herkel, a representative of the PACE.
He noted that Russia is not going to renounce its recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, while the European Union supports Georgia's territorial integrity. This means that the problem surrounding Russian-Georgian relations remains, Herkel says.
