The recent espionage scandal will not affect Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with US President Barack Obama during the coming G8 summit, Ekho Moskvy cites Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov as saying.
The official also noted that the row occurred at the same time as the two leaders were showing their intention to enhance bilateral ties.
Ushakov said that he was surprised that such an incident had occurred, even though the United States and Russia are going to enhance their cooperation in the sphere of security. The head of the FBI has just visited Moscow and a meeting with the head of the CIA is also planned, he said.
