Kobylyanchenko becomes chief of FSB directorate in Karachay-Cherkessia

 

Major-General Sergey Nikolin, deputy head of the staff section of Russia’s FSB, has introduced Colonel Igor Kobylyanchenko, deputy head of the North Ossetian FSB directorate, as the head of the FSB directorate in Karachay-Cherkessia, FSB press service reports.

Kobylyachenko is aged 46 and was born in Chita. He has been an FSB officer since 1989. He worked at the FSB directorate in the Chitinskaya Region and Tver Region, became deputy head of the FSB directorate in the Novgorod Region in 2011 and then North Ossetia. He has a 2nd-rank medal for Merit for Fatherland. He succeeds Major-General Nikolai Grigorov who died in March 2013.
