Decision on Kosovo will not become precedent - Dorohin

"The decision on Kosovo made by the Hague court will not create a precedent," Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorohin said, ANS reports. The diplomat noted that this decision doesn't create any legal basis for separatist activity.
"We consider there is no reason to overestimate the Hague's decision, as the court considered one specific case. Does Kosovo have a?right to adopt a?declaration of independence? That's it. The court didn't consider other issues, such as whether a new state was created or not. The tribunal also didn't answer the question as to whether other states should recognize its independence or not," noted Dorohin.
