The US Treasury has passed sanctions against Syrian ministers Fahd Jasim al-Faridzh (defenses), Saad an-Nayef (healthcare), Adnan as-Suhni (industry) and Nedzhm al-Ahmad (justice), authorities of Syrian Arab Airlines and the Al-Dunya TV, Interfax reports.
Syrian Arab Airlines is accused of helping President Bashar al-Assad suppress opposition by bringing ammunition to governmental forces from the Iranian Guardians of the Islamic Revolution. Al-Dunya was providing videos of interviews with people criticizing the regime to the intelligence forces. The channel demonstrated questioning of people detained in Harasta.
