Azerbaijan and the EU plan to simplify the visa regime in November 2013, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmoud Mamedguliyev reports.
They plan to conclude negotiations in late May and sign the documents at a summit of the Eastern Partnership in Vilnius on November 28-29.
The previous round of talks was held in Brussels on March 11-12.
According to agreements, Azerbaijani citizens will need fewer documents to present in order to receive visas. The EU will issue multi-use visas with extended terms. Prices for visas will drop.
The agreement on readmission will form a mechanism to help people in the EU and Azerbaijan to return to their homeland without need for permits.
