The new draft of the Constitution is aimed at extension of Saakashvili's power after his presidential term runs out, ex-speaker of the Georgian parliament Nino Burdzhanidze said, Novosti Georgia reports.
The new draft of the constitution provides for a reduction of presidential power and?strengthening of the parliament and premiership. The draft was adopted by the state commission a week ago.
Burdzhanidze noted that, in reality, the new project of the constitution gives more?power only to the prime minister.
