Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on Facebook that Vanuatu no longer recognized independence of Abkhazia. Only five countries recognize its independence.

Saakashvili noted that the main goal of Georgia in countries of the Pacific Ocean and Africa was to block Russian policy of getting more countries recognize independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The Georgian president is in Thailand where he met the prime ministers of Bangladesh and Laos, vice presidents of Burma, Papua New Guinea and Iran.
