The UN has published a report on the sales of arms by Belarus in 2009. According to APA, citing ‘BelaPAN’, last year Belarus exported arms to Azerbaijan, Uganda and Sudan.
The report says that Belarus sold 9 units of mechanized artillery ‘Pion’ (203 mm 2C7), 5 Su-25s (Frogfoot) made in Russia to Azerbaijan, 23 tanks to Uganda, 3 Su-25s to Sudan. Belarus did not import arms in 2009.
The UN’s report says that Azerbaijan received 3 units of mechanized artillery ‘Pion’ (203 mm 2C7) in 2008, 41 tanks T-72 in 2006, 19 tanks T-72 in 2005; Armenia received 10 D-30 howitzers (122 mm) in 2007.
