Foreign Minister of Qatar Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani will chair a special meeting of the LAS for the upcoming Syrian conference in Cairo today, RIA Novosti reports.
Foreign ministers of Algiers, Sudan, Egypt, Oman and Iraq will attend it. Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia may join them. They will discuss assault of El Quseir by the governmental forces of Syria.
Lakhdar Brahimi, a special envoy of the LAS and UN, said that attendants of the conference will find a political solution for Syria.
The conference was initiated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry.
