Moscow police proposes obligatory deposits for deportation of migrants

The Moscow police have decided to reduce expenses by proposing obligatory deposits for deportation of migrants, RIA Novosti cites Vyacheslav Kozlov, head of the public order directorate of the Interior Ministry.

Migrants will be obliged to save money for a ticket back and to have medical insurance. Kozlov noted that identification of migrants costs up to $40 in consulates of their countries. More money is spent to deport them.

The deposit sum has not been set yet, but has been inspired by experience of British migration services. Migrants from risky countries in the UK save £1000 as deposits. Violation of visa terms will result in confiscation of deposits.
