The Azerbaijani parliament has introduced amendments to the law on international passports, allowing children aged under 1 to receive international passports valid for a year, children aged 1-3 to have passports valid for 3 years and children aged 3-8 to have passports valid for 5 years, 1news cites Ali Guseynli, head of the parliamentary committee for legal policy and state construction.
Adults will receive passports for 18 years.
Release of biometric passports was postponed from June 1 to September 1, 2013.
