Former deputy interior minister detained in Georgia

Former deputy interior minister Giya Lortkilanidze was detained in Georgia last night. A few hours before his arrest the former official held a press conference, at which he said the authorities were pressuring him to testify in the way they wanted.

Former interior minister Vano Merabishvili, the author of Georgian police reform, was arrested recently.
