The Kizilyurtovsky District of Dagestan held elections of the local assembly, RIA Novosti reports.
Magomed Shabanov remains the acting head of the region. The United Russia Party, CPRF, A Fair Russia, Patriots of Russia, LDPR and the Right Cause were participating in the elections. Each party introduced 28 people for the 23 seats of the assembly. Over 62% of the population voted.
The parliament of Dagestan dissolved the local deputies in late 2012 for three months of idleness.
