There is no evident terrorist threat in the North Caucasus, the secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolay Patrushev, says.
The situation surrounding terrorism in the region is changing for the better, the offiicial explains. According to him, the number of terrorist attacks decreased by 43 percent in the last few years.
Patrushev also notes that the most intense situation is in Dagestan, where 85 percent of all terrorist attacks that take place in the region occur.
