Georgian special envoy to discuss Russian – South Ossetian demarcation

Georgian special envoy for Russia Zurab Abashidze and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin will discuss border demarcation between Russia and South Ossetia at a meeting in Prague.

Karasin said yesterday that they will not discuss demarcation or any other topics related to South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, Russia has been laying barbed wire from Ditsi in the Gori District to Dvani in the Karelia District, viewed as a violation of territorial integrity. Georgia sent a protest note to Russia through the Swiss Embassy.
