Acting Dagestani President Ramazan Abdulatipov marked the 10th anniversary of the Chechen Constitution on March 23 and the opening of the Chechen National Library, RIA Dagestan reports.
The library has over 60,000 tomes and will increase it to millions in the near future. Abdulatipov promised to grant over 1000 books. Dagestani Deputy Minister for Culture Magomedrasul Magomedov visited the national library and presented the books on May 29.
Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov and Chechen Culture Minister Dikalu Muzakayev thanked the Dagestani delegation for the gift and emphasized the friendship between the two countries. They expressed hope for further mutual cooperation in the cultural field.
